The 50 per cent discount - worth the price of a satnav system or MP3 player - is available on the first year's premium for building and contents insurance.
It is available to new customers who get a quote by March 5th and go on to buy the policy within 90 days.
Head of home insurance Allan Burns said: "This is a great saving and it's worth getting a quote even if your policy doesn't expire for a couple of months."
Key features of the policies include replacement of paid-for information up to the value of £1,000, for example downloaded tunes on MP3 players.
In addition, the policies have a dedicated claims team and buildings cover of up to £1 million, subject to eligibility.
Tesco is also offering a £75 discount on Hotpoint products to its home insurance customers, Clubcard holders only, who quote "hotpoint75" over the telephone or online when taking out the policy.
