Bradford & Bingley launches new Isa products

Bradford & Bingley has announced that it is to launch three new limited-edition individual savings accounts (Isas).

The product range includes an internet-only mini cash Isa called the eISA3, which offers savers fee-free access to their money and pays a higher rate of interest on larger balances.

It has also launched two mini cash Isas specifically aimed at customers who have not yet used their £3,000 worth of tax-free savings allowance for the 2007-08 tax year.

Both accounts, the one-year fixed-rate Isa and one-year fixed-rate eIsa, offer a rate of 5.75 per cent tax-free AER.

Customers singing up to the eISA3 account with savings between £1,000 and £9,999.99 will have a variable rate of 5.55 per cent tax-free AER, while savers with a balance of over £10,000 will receive 5.90 per cent tax free AER.

The account can only be opened with a new deposit of at least £1,000.

Abbey National announced yesterday that it is launching a new Super Isa with a tax-free rate of ten per cent AER.
