Confused.com: Insurance enquiries increasing

There has been a rise in the number of car and home insurance enquiries received by Confused.com, the company has announced.

Debra Williams, managing director of Confused.com, described how the number of people contacting the firm increased following a recent promotion.

"The aim of our £1 million giveaway is to motivate people to shop around for a better deal on their insurance and these record-breaking figures clearly show that it is working," she commented.

Ms Williams stated that, as UK debt levels are continuing to increase, it has become more important than ever for consumers to make sure they are getting the best deals on their insurance products.

Britons could save "hundreds of pounds" by looking around for lower quotes and comparing offers, she added.

Confused.com recently warned homeowners to make sure they have sufficient home contents insurance over the Easter holiday.
