Co-operative Bank credit card re-launch

The Co-operative Bank is to re-launch is fixed rate platinum credit card, the company has announced.

The card will have a fixed rate of 9.9 per cent APR for the first five years and will offer up to 46 days interest free credit.

Other benefits offered by the card, which is available to people over 25 who have an income of more than £25,000, include 24 hour medical assistance abroad and no annual fee.

David Fawell, the head of unsecured lending at the Co-operative Bank, commented: "As well as a market leading rate, there is also an excellent package of travel discounts and incentives, an ethical involvement and no annual fee to pay."

He added that the "unique" card offered consumers "peace of mind" in the current economic climate as the card provides a fixed rate for five years.

The Co-operative Bank is offering a new fixed-term deposit rate for savers wanting a low-risk way of ensuring returns on their savings.
