New Star Indian Equity Fund launched

A fresh product has been created by New Star for UK investors wanting to secure medium-to-long-term capital growth.

The New Star Indian Equity Fund arrives next week and for the initial three-week period, investors will benefit from a one per cent discount.

Managing director at New Star Investment Funds Mark Skinner stated that linking up with Tata Asset Management, the Mumbai-based asset management subsidiary of the Tata Group will mean the company will keep abreast of local market changes.

"At New Star, we believe that local knowledge of the Indian market will be key to generating long-term outperformance and we are delighted to be partnering with such a prestigious organisation as Tata," he said.

Investors interested in the New Star Indian Equity Fund must make a minimum investment of £3,500.

Last week, Barclays Wealth re-launched its Defined Returns Plans offering three investment choices including a new four-year option.
