Coventry Building Society 50 Plus eSave rate increased

The interest rate on the Coventry Building Society 50 Plus eSave account is to be increased, the firm has announced.

As of today, the Coventry Building Society 50 Plus eSave account will offer a rate of interest of 6.25 per cent AER/gross pa.

This rate is fixed for 12 months and savers can access their money without penalty fees.

Head of marketing at the Coventry Rachel Haworth stated that the forecast for changes in the Bank of England's vase rate decision have prompted the announcement.

"With many commentators predicting that future base rate reductions will be delayed until later this year, we have been able to increase the rate on our popular 50 Plus eSave account now," she said.

Already this week, the Tesco internet saver account rate was also increased to 6.25 per cent AER, which is fixed for 12 months on balances up to £100,000.ADNFCR-323-ID-18623913-ADNFCR
