Close Trading Investments announces its first self-storage trade

A new self-storage partnership has been acquired in Worcester by Close Trading Investments.

Close Investments says the move will allow investors to participate in a "growing industry".

The site, in the Great Western Business Park, is well linked by road to Worcestershire and Hertfordshire.

On completion, it will be managed by Storage King, which has 45 self storage sites across England and Wales.

Close Investments can now add self storage to the trades included among its Close Trading Companies (CTC).

Steven Oliver of Close Investments Property, said investment in the self storage site would "offer investors an additional trade within their CTC portfolios".

He noted that self-storage is a "growing industry" in Britain.

Meanwhile, Stockport-based construction and design company Multibuild has just completed a £2 million contract to build a Safestore storage depot in Glasgow, Crain's Manchester Business reports.

The contract's first part was completed on a design-and-build basis, resulting in a two-floor, steel-frame building for self-storage.
