Females 'flirt their way out of trouble'

Female drivers are more inclined to flirt their way out of trouble on the road, according to a new survey.

Diva, a car insurance firm for female drivers, and YouGov have conducted research into the flirtatious behaviour of women behind the wheel, which could potentially affect car insurance policies.

The survey revealed that one in four women admitted that they would flutter their eyelashes or show a bit of cleavage in order to avoid incurring penalty points.

However, some 61 per cent of over 45-year-olds claimed that they would not flirt to get out of trouble if they were caught breaking the law.

Kaye Sutcliffe, head of Diva, commented: "We think women are better drivers … but I'm not sure guys realise just how shrewd women are when it comes to getting themselves out of trouble."

"Flirting is just one more device divas deploy to get what they want behind the wheel."

This year, Shiela's Wheels revealed that an average of £129-worth of personal belongings, including shoes, books, toiletries and clothes, are being left in women's cars every day.
