Steve Price, M&S head of general insurance, said that customers already received five per cent off when buying the insurance online and said the company was "pleased to offer this additional discount during one of the busiest holiday periods".
The policy can cover the UK, Europe or worldwide and give access to an online medical facility as well as a personal travel assistant to help plan the trip.
Customers can claim up to £50,000 for personal accident, £6,000 for cancellation or the cutting short of a holiday and £10 million for medical expenses.
Meanwhile, ClickInsurance, underwritten by Groupama, has joined price comparison website Confused.com's home insurance panel.
ClickInsurance specialises in cover for new technology such as solar paneling as well as home offices, allowing customers to claim up to £3,000 for the theft of office equipment from their homes.
Carlton Hood, chief executive officer of Confused.com, said the addition strengthened the website's comprehensiveness.
