NatWest: Women predict greater growth for businesses than men

NatWest and Everywoman have released the results of a survey which shows that women are more ambitious about their businesses' prospects than men.

According to the poll, 88 per cent of women predicted growth for their businesses compared to just 74 per cent of men.

While the survey revealed that more men understood the financial services available to businesses, it also found that women were better at working to a business plan and specific targets than men.

Karen Gill, co-founder and director of Everywoman, said that the increased ambition among women for business growth was a "testament to the progress we have made as a sector in such a short space of time".

Yesterday a poll by Moneywise.co.uk revealed that women in general were more worried about the credit crunch than men, but today's findings suggest that businesswomen have a more optimistic outlook than the rest of the population.
