Fairinvestment.co.uk promotes debt management for the New Year

Fairinvestment.co.uk is promoting its free debt management service to UK consumers who may have made a new year's resolution to get themselves out of debt.

The price comparison website claims that its debt management service involves filling in "one simple form" and then talking to an expert.

According to Credit Action, the UK's average household debt totals £59,670 including mortgages and another price comparison site, Gocompare.com, found that resolving this problem is top of the list of Brits' New Year's resolutions.

Fairinvestment.co.uk's chartered financial planner Sharon Bratley said: "January is a great time for people to get on top of their finances following the cost of Christmas.

"Debt is something that should not be ignored so the sooner people face up to it the better."

Credit Action, a debt management charity, recently calculated that last year, the UK's personal debt spiralled, increasing by £1 million every ten minutes.
