Co-operative Bank to collaborate with Bob Dylan

The Co-operative Bank will launch a new advertising campaign soundtracked by Bob Dylan, it has emerged.

Dylan, the 60s protest singer and counter-cultural icon, has given permission for one of his best-known songs to be used in adverts for the Co-operative Group, the bank's parent company.

It is thought that the Co-operative Bank's strict ethical screening policies, which it applies to all its customers as well as the investments it makes on their behalf, helped sway Dylan's decision.

A spokesperson for Sony, which owns his record label, said that this latest move is characteristic of a career which has seen him make several controversial decisions.

Memorably Dylan was called "Judas" by a fan who felt he had betrayed his folk roots when he made the decision to play an electric guitar with a full live band backing him.
