NatWest ISA deals announced

NatWest has announced the launch of several new deals as part of its range of individual savings accounts (ISAs).

The bank announced that its e-ISA now pays interest at a rate of 3.51 per cent on balances of over £10,000, which it claims makes it the most competitive online-only ISA on the market.

NatWest also launched the Cash ISA Plus account, which is an instant-access ISA aimed at helping people who are new to savings accounts get a good return for their money.

NatWest said: "As an added incentive, customers with an Advantage Gold or Private account who open a Cash ISA Plus before April 20th will receive an additional bonus of 0.5 per cent gross for 12 months."

Recent research by Birmingham Midshires revealed that many people in the UK are cutting back on spending because of the recession and are instead leaving more of their money in savings accounts such as ISAs.
