Newcastle Building Society wins award

The building society picked up the top large practice for investment sales accolade at the annual Openwork meet in Birmingham for its Investment and Portfolio ISAs.
Bob Mottershead, retail sales executive at Newcastle Building Society, said: "Winning this prestigious award confirms the strides Newcastle Financial Services is making in the investment marketplace and we are determined to help our customers in these low interest rate times".
He also claimed that the conference gave the firm the opportunity to develop key relationships which could help it to promote its services to customers.
The Society is now the biggest provider of investment products in the north-east of England.
There was more good news for Newcastle Building Society as it won the award for best prepaid card marketing campaign of the year at the Card Awards recently.
