PayPal offers advice for Mothers' Day

Consumers shopping for Mothers' Day presents have been offered advice from online payment service PayPal.

According to the firm, 60 per cent of shoppers now turn to the internet in search of better deals and it suggested that PayPal Offers may provide consumers with the cut-price deals they are seeking in the current economic downturn.

UK marketing director at PayPal Mark Hodson described the search for the ideal gift this year as a "bargain hunt".

"PayPal Offers allows users to take advantage of cashback deals, discounts and special offers from leading retailers like Topshop, Marks & Spencer and Boots," he explained.

Mr Hodson added that new deals are regularly uploaded onto the website for consumers to view.

Last month shoppers were urged by the Gift Voucher Shop to purchase a One4all gift voucher for Mothers' Day.

It noted that research from Deloitte has revealed gift vouchers are the number one present choice for women this year.
