Barclays offers free business seminars

Barclays has announced that it will be conducting a series of seminars across the country over the course of the next year, which are free for businesses to attend.

The seminars, which will take place in various locations between May and November, will offer companies tips on how to make the most of their business opportunities during the credit crunch.

Barclays claimed that since the last time it conducted the seminars, 43 per cent of the companies which attended had sought out cheaper suppliers and another 43 per cent had changed the way they priced their products.

John Davis, Barclays local business marketing director said: "Our innovative seminars to support the small and medium-sized enterprise sector and give businesses key tactics to make fundamental improvements even during these testing times."

Earlier this year, business secretary Lord Mandelson unveiled a series of measures aimed at making it easier for small businesses to continue operating during the credit crunch.
