Direct Line launches car insurance special offer

The company said that all new customers will be offered one free day of car insurance every week, knocking the cost of 52 days off their car insurance premiums over the course of a year.
Direct Line's car insurance includes cover for instances of vandalism and will also cover drivers if they are involved in an accident that is not their fault with another motorist who is uninsured.
Mike Tildesley, marketing manager for Direct Line, said: "In the current financial climate, we are strengthening our offers to highlight the fact that we have some of the best value products on the market."
Direct Line was started in 1985 and provides home insurance and pet insurance as well as cover for motorists. It is part of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group.
