New protection policy advice website launched

A new website has been launched which can be used to seek out professional advice and purchase various protection policies within the space of a few minutes, it has been announced.

Run by insurance specialist LifeSearch and 1st Exchange, the new site, GetLifeRight.co.uk, offers consumers the chance to purchase protection across a number of services in one place.

This includes income protection, life insurance and family income benefit - all provided by four top firms AXA, Friends Provident, Legal & General and Royal Liver.

However, it has not been introduced with the intention of replacing traditional over-the-phone or face-to-face advice.

Rather, the site is designed to provide to cater for those who feel uncomfortable dealing directly with people or who do not want to hand over sensitive information to a stranger.

LifeSearch, which was founded in 1997, claims that its advisers are all "highly knowledgeable professionals" who are encouraged to take industry examinations to maintain their standards.
