Higher rate for customers of Sainsbury's Finance Internet Saver

The Sainsbury's Finance Internet Saver account is upping its interest rate for those customers who do not make more than three withdrawals annually.

Those who open internet saver accounts between 1st and 31st July will be eligible to receive the new rate of 2.8 per cent AER - which is 2.05 per cent higher than the standard level.

Account holders who do make more than three withdrawals or allow their account balance to fall below £1,000 will only be eligible to receive interest at a rate of 0.75 per cent gross AER.

"We are delighted to be able to offer yet another compelling offer with our Internet Saver account," Helen Cook, head of savings at Sainsbury's Finance, explained.

This comes after the bank offered those who took out a Sainsbury's Internet Saver account between June 9th and 30th a variable AER of 2.6 per cent.
