Saga Boat Insurance: Remain vigilant towards stolen goods

As sailing on Britain's open seas - or lakes - is a pastime enjoyed by many over-50s, Saga Boat Insurance is urging them to demonstrate caution towards goods they suspect have been stolen.

Increasing numbers of boat owners looking to save some cash may attend boat 'jumbles', or car boot sales, in order to hunt down some cheap accessories for their vessels.

However, points out the insurance firm, it is important that people at these events remain vigilant as they often attract traders whose wares are from less than legitimate backgrounds.

This is important as being in possession of stolen boat accessories could result in them being confiscated and any money spent being lost.

Some high-profile boating enthusiasts include US singer Usher, model Naomi Campbell and actress Hilary Duff.
