Those youngsters preparing to fly the coop this September who are considering ordering their finances before heading to university may like to take advantage of the Lloyds TSB Student Account.

Inkeeping with tradition, it offers academics a range of benefits, including a free NUS Extra card and a tiered interest-free planned overdraft which rises from £500 in the first six months to £1,000 during the seventh to ninth months then £1,500 onwards.

Furthermore, those who open the account will also gain free Youth Hostel Association membership for 12 months, £75.99 discounts on AA driving lessons and 35 free eMusic downloads.
