Citibank Flexible Saver Account unveiled

The details of the new Citibank Flexible Saver Account have been released as the bank offers it to customers the chance to put some money aside amid the economic crisis.

As from today, the financial institute is accepting applicants to the account, which offers new customers wishing to deposit between £1 and £1,000,000 a 3.1 per cent AER and a 12-month fixed-rate bonus of 2.06 per cent gross per annum.

After the initial year, this will revert to the standard rate of one per cent gross per annum AER.

"The new Citibank Flexible Saver Account will certainly provide a competitive rate for new customers, giving them the potential for real growth in their savings," explained Sharon Maguire, head of savings at the firm.

Citibank offers financial services to 200 million consumers and businesses in countries across the globe and its brands include Citifinancial and Primerica.
