Saga 'UK's most competitive motor insurer'

According to price comparison website MoneySupermarket.com, Saga is at the top of the charts when it comes to the most consistently competitive vehicle insurer in the country, with its premiums costing just £176 annually.
The average price of motor insurance for one year among the top ten companies analysed by MoneySupermarket.com stands at £240.75, with Lloyds TSB placing second and Lancaster Quick Insurance Quote coming third.
"It is great news for the motorist that insurers are offering increased competition, meaning the average premium for the current top ten is over £55 lower for car owners than the previous analysis," commented Steve Sweeney, head of motor insurance at MoneySupermarket.com.
Last month, Saga introduced a new breakdown repair protection with a value of up to £500 for customers who break down and cannot continue their journeys without repair work being performed on their vehicles.
