Nationwide ISA bonds interest rates 'undergo increase'

Customers opting for Nationwide ISA bonds can now enjoy higher levels of interest on fixed-rate accounts, it has emerged.

From the end of this week (Friday 24th July), Nationwide's range of fixed-rate ISA bonds will include a one-year fixed-rate product offering three per cent gross per annum AER, a three-year bond paying 3.75 per cent gross AER and a five-year fixed-rate bond offering a rate of 4.5 per cent.

Those who have taken advantage of these accounts can also transfer across the full range, the bank adds.

Head of savings at Nationwide Andy Hutchinson said: "The interest rate increase on a number of Nationwide's Fixed Rate ISA Bonds is good news for those savers looking for a guaranteed rate of return on their tax efficient savings."

Earlier this week, Nationwide also launched new one-year and four-year fixed-rate mortgages for its customers looking to get on the property ladder.
