Abbey Bank Accounts: Brits losing their ambitious drive

Abbey Bank Accounts has conducted research which shows that Brits are increasingly settling for their lot and giving up their quests to fulfill their dreams and ambitions.

According to the research, 30 per cent of British adults are sticking with their second career choice rather than pursuing their first and a further 24 per cent are content to settle with a property that they did not originally prioritise.

Furthermore, 22 per cent of respondents said that they are not living in the location they would like to and 11 per cent do not have the financial products they most desire.

When it comes to settling for second best, sorting out finances is one of the easier options, said Gillian Almond, head of Abbey Bank Accounts.

"People should vote with their feet and hot-foot it to an account which gives market-leading interest at a time when others are reducing the value they provide," she asserted.

Abbey is now part of the Spanish banking group Santander.
