Barclaycard unveils new web service

Barclaycard has unveiled changes to its online service, which will now be called mybarclaycard and involve new design features.

It claims that customers will be able to amend the way account information and spending is presented to them onscreen, according to their own needs.

Amer Sajed, chief executive of Barclaycard UK, has claimed that it has received good feedback regarding the changes from the several thousand customers who helped during development.

He said: "It will make our customers' lives a little easier by providing them with the control to track and manage their spending with Barclaycard."

The organisation has reported that the mybarclaycard service will also make it simpler to carry out balance transfers, change their credit limit and query a transaction.

Barclaycard announced that its early assistance scheme has helped 11,500 customers experiencing financial difficulties, according to figures released earlier this month.
