ASDA Financial Services Over 50s Life Cover unveiled

ASDA Financial Services have brought out a new insurance product called Over 50s Life Cover.

It has had the life insurance policy put together by the insurance provider LV= so that people can leave some money behind as a legacy for their children or grandchildren, the head of insurance and savings at ASDA, Gideon Ingham, explained.

Mr Ingham commented that the product is useful if people want to cover their funeral expenses so that relatives do not have to.

"By combining our retail reach with a great product, we believe we can triple the number of our over-50s customers who have all-important financial protection for the future," he added.

Mr Ingham also claimed that one feature of the policy allows people to make sure that the amount they pay in to the cover plan is not more than how much ends up being paid out.

ASDA recently announced that it had increased its market share to 17 per cent in August and its like-for-like sales have gone up by 7.2 per cent.
