Prudential: Under-40s need more exercise

Prudential has advised people in their 30s that they need to get more exercise as it will make them feel more active.

Shaun Matisonn, chief executive officer at PruHealth, made his comments following research by the organisation which showed that those currently in their 30s are the most likely to have low energy levels.

The survey revealed that 12 per cent of the age group lacked energy at all times, compared with seven per cent of people in their 20s and eight per cent of people in their 40s and 50s.

Mr Matisonn pointed out that incorporating minor steps into people's daily routine can help them to feel better and livelier.

He suggested doing more exercise and snacking on fruit rather than crisps.

"Finding time in your 30s to exercise and eat healthily can be especially difficult while you're juggling a career and looking after a young family," he added.

Prudential have just celebrated the 20th anniversary of PruProtect, which is a joint venture with Discovery.
