Leeds Building Society launches Northern Rail deals

Leeds Building Society has rolled out a new scheme that offers discounts and deals on mortgages to consumers who have season tickets on the Northern Rail network.

Under the terms of the programme, people who take out a mortgage with the financial services provider will receive £100 cashback once their mortgage is completed.

In addition, anyone who opens a new account with £300 or more will be able to take advantage of a number of other offers, such as two-for-one spa treatment days, discounted entry to comedy clubs and free entry at a variety of other attractions.

Martin Richardson, general manager of marketing and business development, commented: "We recognise that many people are struggling during the current recession and are very pleased that we can offer this unique, unprecedented and enduring scheme."

Earlier this month, Leeds Building Society announced that so far this year, it has raised £7,000 for the Great Northern Children's Hospital in Newcastle, St Gemma's Hospice and Martin House Children's Hospice, both of which are located in Leeds.
