The Co-operative Financial Services launches new Isas

The Co-operative Financial Services (CFS) is now offering two new Isas, following a merger with Britannia.

Savers with CFS can now opt for an Isa with the launch of two new fixed-rate options available for the first time at any Co-operative branch.

The first Isa on offer is a one-year fixed rate of 2.6 per cent and the other is a two-year fixed rate of three per cent. Both have a minimum balance of £3,600.

John Hughes, business leader - retail products at CFS, said that one of the promises the company made to its customers before the merger was a wider range of products - and the Isa is the first step to delivering their pledge.

Mr Hughes added that for customers over 50 who have not invested in an Isas this tax year can take advantage of the new accounts by investing up to £5,100.

CFS and Britannia completed their merger in August this year. The new company has over £70 billion in assets and nine million customers.
