Personal trainers receive financial guidance advice from Credit Expert

Personal trainers are to receive UK credit report education training from Credit Expert in a bid to help them advise their clients on more than just their exercise routine.

To ensure that they are able to give good guidance to those who need it, the company has joined forces with GymBox to offer training on how obtaining a healthy credit score can help people stay in control of their money and give better access to good deals.

In a recent survey by the credit report company it was found that 47 per cent of people seek advice from their personal trainer on a variety of issues, including financial concerns.

An additional 41 per cent of those questioned said they see their trainer as a life coach.

Director at the money firm Darryl Bowman said: "Regular physical fitness and financial fitness should be part of our routine and this programme is one way to get people started".

Earlier this year, the company found that one in five people were hiding the true level of their debt from their partners.
