RBS and NatWest offer flooding help

A package has been developed by the banks to help those affected by the severe weather conditions recently experienced in Cumbria.
The institutions said they would provide personal, business and insurance customers with enhanced financial and practical support.
This includes temporary increases on overdrafts and bridging facilities for insurance claims, among other benefits.
Commenting on the initiative, Robin Bulloch, managing director for branch banking, said: "The last few days have been devastating for many families and businesses and we will be doing everything we can to provide the required assistance to customers experiencing difficulty."
He also pointed out that the financial centres have redirected their mobile banking faciltiies to the affected areas.
In related news, NatWest recently announced the launch of a free mobile banking application on the iPhone App Store.
