Yorkshire Bank named best regional lender

For the 11th time, the institution was given the accolade by Your Mortgage magazine, which also recognised the achievements of parent group National Australia Group and sister organisation Clydesdale Bank.
The former celebrated being given the Publishers Special Award, in acknowledgement of its consistency, commitment and excellence over the past two decades.
Meanwhile, Clydesdale Bank was named best mortgage lender in Scotland.
Commenting on the achievements, Paula John, editor in chief of Your Mortgage, said: "Surviving in the current economic climate is enough of an achievement for mortgage lenders, so to excel and win awards is proof of how far some providers have gone to maintain their high standards."
She added that Yorkshire Bank in particular had gone from strength to strength, while maintaining its ethos of serving local customers with competitive products.
The financial centre recently introduced a range of discounted variable mortgages, available to both new and existing customers.
