Axa: iPhone accident help app launched

The app will provide prompts to the driver to record necessary information at the scene of the crash, to help them with making a claim on their insurance.
Anyone is able to download the tool for free from the Apple iTunes app store, although Axa customers have the added feature of being able to contact the nearest approved repairer to come and collect the vehicle if it is not in a condition to be driven.
Simon Clayden, head of IT innovation at Axa, said: "Our app allows you to permanently store the information you need and will take you through a step by step process at the scene of the accident, prompting you to record all the necessary detail."
Earlier this month, Axa found that British drivers were among the most law-abiding in Europe, with just four per cent saying they have driven under the influence of alcohol, compared to the European average of 21 per cent.
