Coventry Building Society releases new bond

Coventry Building Society has announced it is to release a new fixed-rate bond.

Available with an investment from just £1, savers can expect a return on their money of 4.25 per cent AER.

Consumers can apply for this new product through the company's website, over the phone or in person at one of the building society's branches.

Fixed until August 31st 2012, a maximum of £250,000 can be invested into the account, with consumers offered the choice of monthly or annual interest payments.

Rachel Haworth, head of marketing at the Coventry Building Society, said: "Everyone wants the best return possible on their savings and we are confident that our new fixed bond with a highly competitive rate of 4.25 per cent will be very popular."

This new bond follows on from a 1st Class Postal Bond which was issued by the building society last week, offering a rate of 3.15 per cent Gross AER a year, with a minimum investment of £1,000.
