Scottish Power offers fuel money back with tariff

Consumers who opt to switch to Scottish Power's new tariff could receive some cash back, according to Confused.com.

The website stated that the new Online Energy Saver Tariff 9 received little attention in the wake of British Gas cutting its prices, but it could still be a good option for some customers.

Scottish Power is offering those who change to their new deal £25 fuel money back, with Confused.com offering an additional £10 to those who choose to make the switch.

It states that this payment equates to the sum that households have in average paid out over the cold snap for their increased fuel usage.

Gareth Kloet, head of energy at the website, said: "Those who steadfastly refuse to review their current energy provider and tariff will continue to needlessly waste money."

The site stated earlier this month that 73 per cent of people were concerned about the cost of their energy bills this month, yet 22 per cent of people will leave the heating on all day for their pets.
