Nick Leitch, head of investment marketing for the organisation, said the extension will allow advisers to create a high-quality financial portfolio for their clients and make their services easier to provide.

He added: "While it would be easy to offer the whole fund universe, this would not add value. Offering too many funds just makes it harder to spot the stars and avoid the dogs."

The company has incorporated five new partners into its operations and now provides 132 funds for customers to choose from in 47 sectors, which is under continual scrutiny to make sure quality is to a high standard.

It was recently found by unbiased.co.uk that pensions advice is the financial category which receives the most customer enquiries, causing it to be named the 'number one advice driver'.
