Geoff White, senior market underwriter for technology at Zurich, described how the technology sector is evolving rapidly internationally and insurance products must develop just as quickly.
He stressed the importance of compliance with local regulations and the ability to provide comprehensive cover that will protect information and networks.
"Zurich UK's new offering brings comprehensive cover involving experienced underwriters, claims handlers and risk engineers," explained Mr White.
The Technology and Telecommunications insurance tool covers professional indemnity risks such as the threats from IT liability, network security and privacy.
This month, the company also launched a new guide for brokers regarding the reforms that are set to take place in the Ministry of Justice this week, explaining how the alterations will affect operations.
