New Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks mortgages 'offer great value'

Steve Reid, retail director at Clydesdale Bank, made his comments regarding the decision to cut mortgage arrangement fees by 50 per cent on certain products and half price on home insurance.
He described how individuals who switch both their home insurance and mortgage to a Clydesdale or Yorkshire Bank deal could save about £600 as a result of these new discounts.
Mr Reid explained: "Customers are always looking for great service at a great price - these new discounts, particularly when combined with our new mortgage range, deliver that."
Some of the mortgage products that customers can receive the discounts on include the two-year residential fixed, the five-year residential fixed and the two-year discounted SVR offset.
Last week, the two financial institutions unveiled their longest balance transfer offer for new credit card applicants of zero per cent interest for 16 months.
