Barclays Wealth Defined Returns AKO 'may be welcomed by investors'

Investors may appreciate the early-exit feature that has been made available on the Barclays Wealth Defined Returns Plan Annual Kick-Out (AKO), a spokesperson for the organisation has suggested, after two previous products delivered on their returns.

Vice-president of Barclays Wealth Lisa Chaudhuri explained that clients may have received a greater return in the past year if they had known when to enter and exit the market.

But she remarked: "This is another example of a structured product achieving exactly what it set out to do for investors, delivering a clearly defined return over a specific period of time."

The Barclays Wealth Defined Returns Plan AKO 80 and 100 - launched in February 2009 - both realised their goals and delivered the expected return to investors.

This week, the firm reissued its UK Super Tracker product, which Ms Chaudhuri described as being great for making significant returns on slight growth in the FTSE 100.
