Skipton saving account range increases

Skipton Building Society has launched issue 9 of its range of fixed rate bonds, all with a fixed interest rate of 5.2 per cent gross pa.

The new Skipton saving account range includes one-year, two-year and three-year bonds, and offers a monthly income option, offering a return of five per cent.

Jennifer Holloway, head of media relations, said: "Whatever investors' views on the future of interest rates - whether they'll be heading upwards in the near future or remain static for some time to come - they can match their predictions with one of our Pick 'N' Fix bonds.

"For those who are unsure, there is also the option to split their investment across the range and, as they're all paying 5.20 per cent, still be sure of a great return."

The bond allows investments between £500 and £25,000 and Skipton will allow a maximum of one of each bond per customer per issue.
