Santander banking stresses rewards of loyalty

Customers who do more business with Santander banking will be rewarded with preferential rates, according to a representative from the company.

Nici Audhlam-Gardiner, director of banking at the firm, explained that the organisation is "committed" to providing value to clients who choose Santander as their main bank.

Her comments were made after Santander banking revealed that a new current account with a daily charging structure on overdrafts is set to be unveiled before the end of the year.

"The overdraft fee structure on the new account is simple to understand and transparent," stated Ms Audhlam-Gardiner.

She stressed that the preferential rates offered by Santander will be given to those customers who do more business with the firm.

Last week, the same company announced that consumers could pocket up to £225 by switching to a current account with the bank.

It is part of its 'summer switching campaign' that started on Monday June 28th.
