Barclays Wealth banking highlights BP situation

Head of product at Barclays Stockbrokers Paul Inkster described how Friday June 25th saw the oil company's share price plummet to 296p from 324p.
This dramatic change led to the firm's shares accounting for 22.71 per cent of all buy trades on the day, with this figure falling gradually through the next week.
He explained: "Sales of BP shares, as a proportion of total sell trades, increased from 4.92 per cent on Tuesday, to 9.93 per cent on Wednesday, as a result of the improvement in share price."
Mr Inkster noted that the reason for the huge popularity of BP shares is a result of the firm continuing to "dominate the headlines".
Barclays Wealth banking recently revealed that its investors have confidence in the strength of emerging markets, with 50 per cent predicting such areas will see the best returns.
