Halifax Clarity credit card 'best value for holidays'

Holidaymakers may wish to take the new Halifax Clarity credit card with them abroad, as it is great value for money.

This is the opinion of Mark Powys, a spokesperson for the company, who made his comments following the launch of the new product.

The Halifax Clarity credit card has no foreign exchange fee, cash withdrawal charge or annual membership levy and the interest rate is set at 12.9 per cent for all transactions.

Mr Powys suggested that the financial tool would be useful for people planning a vacation on a budget, since it is the "best value option" in his view.

"Our research shows that three-quarters of holidaymakers would be more likely to use a credit card abroad if they knew they wouldn't incur any fees," he added.

Commenting on the new credit card, Moneynet.co.uk's Andrew Hagger said it is refreshing to see a "no nonsense" product brought out by a major banking institution.
