Aviva Life Insurance highlights expense of childcare

Louise Colley, head of protection marketing at the organisation, explained that some people are cancelling their life insurance to save money, but this could end up being counterproductive if "the worst should happen".
She noted that paying childcare costs and still having enough money to live on can be hugely difficult for many parents.
Ms Colley said: "The consequences of having no cover in place can be huge – especially for a family already relying on just one income."
Aviva Life Insurance published research showing that four in ten families believe that it is not worth both parents working once there are two children to look after, as childcare costs are so expensive.
The company also recently noted that the babyboomer generation is soon to hit retirement, but many of them do not appear to be aware that their savings may not allow them to live the life they had planned.
