Fortis Insurance aims to develop relationships with brokers

Several new appointments have been made by Fortis Insurance in the hope of strengthening relationships with brokers, it has been revealed.

Mark Cliff, managing director of the firm, which is soon to be known as AGEAS, lauded the importance of staying in touch with brokers, if the level of service they receive is to be maintained.

The new employees have been assigned to work in the underwriting and commercial business development teams, with Mr Cliff suggesting it will help the company to become a market leader.

He said: "We recognise that our brokers rely on us to deliver a high-speed, high-quality service, coupled with efficient and informed decision-making."

Among the new recruits for Fortis Insurance are former Allianz executive Joel Markham, former Axa underwriter Stuart Barnes and David Willams, who used to work at NIG.

Another recent appointment to the organisation is Mark Anders, who joins the business from Bupa and will lead the protection sales division.
