James Barclay, home underwriting manager at the firm, explained that the company is aiming for such arrangements to be much more straightforward for consumers.
In his view, the home insurance market has become stagnant, so his team want to "shake it up" by bringing a new approach to the industry.
"Consumers do not switch their buildings and contents insurance very often because people feel it's a hassle and because the quote and buying process can be such hard work," he remarked.
In order to make things simpler, swiftcover.com home insurance will only include the details that customers want to see on their policy documents, making them easier to understand.
Recently, the same firm highlighted how much time is wasted by companies cold calling them, which was second only to the daily commute in a survey of the most ineffective use of a person's day.
