Co-operative Bank Think Credit Card 'a force for good'

The Co-operative Bank Think Credit Card supports companies which incorporate ethical and environmental responsibility into their business strategy, a representative from the firm has noted.

John Hughes, business leader of retail at the company, made his comments after the organisation announced that it is cutting the interest rates on the account from August 2nd.

While the headline rate will remain at 12.9 per cent, purchases at Think partners will be interest free for three months and balance transfers will be reduced to 3.9 per cent for six months, with no fee.

Mr Hughes suggested that this new policy - which backs spending in Think retailers such as trainline.com, Ikea and Lush - could entice consumers to switch to the Co-operative Bank Think Credit Card.

"By buying from Think-approved partners, customers will be lending their support to ethically progressive companies which are aligned to the values of the Co-operative Bank," he added.

Last week, the firm highlighted research showing that 54 per cent of drivers regularly make irresponsible driving choices that could cause accidents.
