Insurance for younger drivers launched alongside AA learning techniques

The AA Driving School has put together a series of guidelines for friends and family of novice drivers to provide effective support as they get to grips with driving a car safely.
Director of the institution and AA Insurance Simon Douglas claimed that these tips have been produced to be used while a motorist is covered by the recently launched Learner Driver Insurance product.
"Family members are often out of step with the syllabus taught by a professional driving instructor and the Supporting Learner Drivers course will help to provide skills and confidence," he stated.
Mr Douglas cited research by the Department for Transport, which indicated that additional hours spent in a car with friends or family can help a learner driver's chances of passing their test.
Learner Driver Insurance can be secured for an initial 28 or 84-day period and then renewed for periods of seven, 28 or 84 days at time.
