Insurance for young drivers provider Fortis hails award

The company, which provides insurance for younger drivers as well as older adults, only re-launched its Semploy deal at the end of May, with the policy geared towards making it easier for self-employed workers to get cover.
Among the most notable changes introduced by the company was the expansion of the number of trades covered by the product from 89 to almost 500, with most professions now able to benefit from the policies on offer.
On the back of this, it has now been confirmed that Fortis has been awarded a Five Star rating from Defaqto for Semploy, with this seal of approval seen as one of the most inclusive financial rating systems currently in use in the UK.
Welcoming the news, Adam Clarke, underwriting director at Fortis stated that it shows that the company is building a name for itself outside of the normal car insurance market.
This comes as the company announced the appointment of a new head of sales as it looks to grow within the Independent Financial Advisors (IFA) market.
